Intellectual Exchange 

The Intellectual Exchange (IE) department tackles policy issues linked to the most prevalent challenges in Asia and Europe. These include the latest policy debates concerning governance, economy, sustainable development and public health. Together with experts and stakeholders from government institutions and civil societies, the IE department analyses developments in Asia and Europe and identifies areas offering common perspectives. These are addressed by ASEF and its partners who design and implement programmes for sharing knowledge and building capacities. The outcomes of these programmes are conveyed to influential figures and decision-makers through research, training, public events, and publications.
