Religion remains a powerful societal force in many parts of the world. These tensions arise not only in an inter-faith or intra-faith context, but also between religious and secular groups. Dialogue efforts aimed at the mitigation of conflict or reconciliation need to include representatives of both religious and secular groups. Recognising the need for inclusive, multi-stakeholder action, ASEF activities aim at promoting mutual understanding and exploring opportunities for collaboration and innovation among all stakeholders.
