Asia-Europe Partnership in the Field of Training
The Asia-Europe Partnership in the Field of Trainingprogramme provides young people in Asia and Europe with knowledge and skills that enable them to develop professionally and personally in two main directions. First, in taking an active role in the local communities they belong to, thus becoming active citizens; and secondly, in becoming messengers that promote dialogue, cultural awareness and mutual understanding between Asia and Europe.

The objectives of this programme are to:

  • contribute to the personal and professional development of young people in Asia and Europe by developing their competencies and challenging their attitudes
  • develop methodologies, materials and intercultural competences and skills specifically addressing the needs of the Asia-Europe training courses and
  • establish and strengthen networks between youth organisations in Asia and Europe.

This programme usually brings together about thirty experienced youth workers, leaders or trainers, aged 18 to 30, from various youth organisations in ASEM countries.
