The Asia Research Institute and the ASEF jointly launched the book "The Impact of Ageing - A Common Challenge for Europe and Asia" by Gabriele Sinigoj and Gavin Jones at the ASEF premises.

In a rare European-Asian interdisciplinary collaboration, world-renowned experts presented their fascinating findings in "The Impact of Ageing." The book contains the latest data in demography, economy and society, law and social welfare, as well as biomedicine. A unique aspect of the book is its description of both mutuality and divergence in the progress of ageing in European and Asian populations that will transform the world in fundamental ways by 2050.
