OVERVIEW

At this seminar, speaker Jan Kavan talked about the ongoing efforts of the Czech Republic to join the European Union, which included implementing market-based economic reforms and getting back on track to following the Czech democratic tradition prior to 1939. Kavan made it clear that the Czech Republic would adopt the EU external relations acquis in full, including ASEM and ASEF membership.
