Over 40 individuals who had previously participated in the ASEF University summer school programme gathered at this meeting to officially establish the ASEFUAN.
A constitution for ASEFUAN was drafted at the meeting, which formalised the network. In addition, the members engaged in a panel discussion titled "Prospects And Challenges For Asia-ÂEurope Relations."
