OVERVIEW

The fourth instalment of the ASEF University programme gathered 35 outstanding undergraduates from 23 ASEM member countries for an intellectually stimulating and culturally enriching fortnight.

The students -- most of whom were majoring in social and political sciences, economics, business administration, and international relations -- attended a series of lectures and discussions, where they examined the following topics:

- Post-war history of Asia and Europe

- Implications of globalisation for governance in Asia

- Impact of the media and the diffusion of new technologies
