OVERVIEW

For the first time, the ASEF organised its ASEF University summer school programme, which brought 31 promising undergraduates to Germany to experience its unique culture, featuring a mix of modernity and antiquity. The students toured cultural and historical sites and visited multinational companies that showcased Germany's fast-paced modern lifestyle and high-end technology. Participants also attended lectures that introduced issues relevant to today's rapidly globalising world, such as: How can institutions in Asia and Europe cope with the unpredictable forces of change?
