This meeting was attended by department heads of Environment Studies Departments from 12 established universities in Asia and Europe. The participants expressed their commitment to establish a joint Asia-Europe Master's programme on Environmental Management, as well as workshops that would feature case studies and best country practices. The status of environment science in the participating countries was highlighted, and potentials areas for inter-university co-operation were identified.
