3rd Asia-Europe Education Workshop

“Reality-check: What really matters?”

Venue:

Since 2008, the ASEM education dialogue has provided impetus for a discourse on university-business cooperation. The 1st Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (ASEMME1, Berlin, May 2008) stated that “close cooperation between education and industry at international, national, regional and local level is a core element for ensuring the employability of the young generation entering the workforce as well as the employability of older generations.”  In March 2010, the 1st ASEM University-Business Forum was convened in Thailand.

At their 3rd Meeting held in Copenhagen in May 2011, the ASEM Education Ministers invited the ASEF to contribute to the ASEM University-Business Forum (Chair’s Conclusions), in order to enhance the dialogue on higher education-business cooperation between stakeholders. In response, ASEF will focus the 3rd Asia-Europe Education Workshop (2012) on the broad topic of ‘university-business cooperation’.

Please continue to visit www.asef.org for further updates about the Workshop.

ASEF's contribution is with the financial support of the European Commission.
