This conference, themed "Teachers And Trainers In Lifelong Learning: Professional Development In Asia And Europe," consisted of discussions and workshops on the following topics:
- Future competences of persons working in lifelong learning
- Pathways towards professionalism
- Effects of teacher training
- Responsibility vs. accountability
- Validation of adult educators' competences
The conference was spearheaded by the group's Network 3, which is co-ordinated by Ekkehard Nuissl von Rein from Duisburg/Essen University.
