This conference brought together 73 representatives from 29 ASEM member countries, to facilitate interaction and dialogue among the next generation of leaders from Asia and Europe. Participants exchanged views on the following themes:
- Migration
- Climate change
- Multilateralism
In addition, participants worked together to draft a declaration, which was later submitted to ASEM leaders during the 7th ASEM Summit in Beijing, China, in 2008.
