A society’s well-being is often dependent on economic growth, and the current international economic crisis has led to unemployment and social problems in Asia and Europe. By harnessing the resourcefulness, creativity, and expertise of civil society actors, we can find ways to counter the negative effects of unbridled economic growth.
In tandem with the ongoing ASEM dialogue on the international financial and economic crisis, our activities focus on examining the impact of the economic crisis on society, engaging representatives from government and civil society in a collective reflection, and giving inputs for innovative and integrated policy recommendations.
