The 1st ASEF Cultural Managers Training Seminar, entitled `Cultural Insight Asia-Europe,' was conducted in Barcelona, Spain from 25th March to 1st April, 1999.
This one-week training seminar was designed for cultural mangers from the 25 ASEM countries involved in arts and heritage management. Besides management training, `Cultural Insight Asia-Europe' also focused on policy, research, economics, cultural awareness and cultural practice. The seminar, with 12 distinguished speakers, stimulated the exchange of experiences and the creation of a network for the 60 participants.
