OVERVIEW

This meeting, attended by 40 representatives from Asian and European cultural centres, was held to establish a network for autonomous art centres in Europe and Asia, where artistic and intellectual exchanges and projects could be implemented in a sustainable way.

The three-day event featured discussions on management, artistic processes, involvement of local communities, and funding issues. The concluding session focused on the need for "training" among cultural centres to positively use the available pool of cultural professionals, and this was an opportunity for the ASEF to present its staff exchange pilot project, which would take place between centres from Europe and Asia.
