The ASEF awarded Cultural Grants to five Asian poets to support their participation in the 35th International Poetry Festival. The poets were:
- Yi Won, South Korea
- Yoko Tawada, Japan
- Thanh Thao, Vietnam
- Alfred Yuson, Philippines
- Zhang Zao, China
The poets read their works at the festival.
