About 30 European and Asian museum professionals took part in this meeting; they formed two working groups to develop the following exhibition proposals:
- A travelling exhibition on Asian perceptions of Europe and European perceptions of Asia
- A virtual exhibition of 2,500 masterpieces in Asian and European collections
These exhibition proposals had already been preliminarily discussed during the ASEMUS conference in 2002. The latest talks added impetus and further developed these proposals, which were presented during the ASEMUS conference in 2004.
