ASEM Education And Research Hub For Lifelong Learning (ASEM LLL Hub)
Overview
The ASEM Education and Research Hub for Lifelong Learning (ASEM LLL Hub) was launched in Copenhagen in May 2005. It is a network that promotes dialogue between researchers, practitioners, and policy makers in order to create foundations for evidence-based educational reforms. The Hub is composed of Asian and European universities that are involved in lifelong learning research and supportive of inter-regional exchanges and co-operative efforts.
Programme Features
The Hub consists of five research networks:
- Research Network 1: Development of ICT skills, e-learning and the culture of e-learning in Lifelong Learning, coordinated by Korean National Open University, Korea;
- Research Network 2: Workplace Learning, coordinated by the University of Innsbruck, Austria;
- Research Network 3: Professionalisation of Adult Teachers and Educators in ASEM countries, coordinated by the German Institute for Adult Education, Duisberg/Essen University, Germany;
- Research Network 4: National strategies for Lifelong Learning with regard to citizens' motivation and barriers against continuing education and training, coordinated by the National Centre for Education Development Research, Ministry of Education China; and
