Asia-Europe Comics Project
Overview
The Asia-Europe Comics Project, also known as Lingua Comica, promotes discovery and the building of new relationships between Asians and Europeans in the comics and graphic novels field. The programme connects comic creators, artists, writers, publishers, editors, and commentators and encourages them to embark on Asia-Europe collaborations. To further inspire the artists, innovative communication tools and fresh and diverse approaches to co-operation are introduced.
Our Goals
- Reinforce the role of comics and graphic novels as a platform for communication between cultures.
- Offer a unique learning experience for comic artists from ASEM countries.
- Encourage interaction between young comic artists from Asia and Europe in the context of artistic creation.
- Analyse the creative process from the initial phases to the achievement of the final artistic product.
- Create and produce innovative cross-cultural comic concepts, easily accessible by wide audiences through online platforms, exhibitions, and public events.
