Pointe To Point, Asia-Europe Dance Forum
Overview
Set up in 2003, the Pointe to Point forum empowers aspiring young artists from Asia and Europe to reflect on their views of contemporary society through their individual artistic expressions. Held annually, each instalment of the forum provides up to 20 young dance professionals with a platform for artistic exchange and dialogue through dance. At the forum, issues relating to the dance industry in Asia and Europe are discussed, and a collaborative process takes place in the two-week encounter between the artists.
Our Goals
- Build links between young choreographers, dancers, and other dance professionals in Asia and Europe.
- Create opportunities for them to meet and collaborate in future.
- Explore new inter-disciplinary approaches in the performing arts.
- Promote appreciation and understanding of contemporary and traditional dance in Asia and Europe.
