I'mPULSE, Asia-Europe Music Camp
Overview
I'mPULSE is an intensive programme of workshops, master classes, rehearsals, and public performances. The programme gives up to 30 musicians from Asia and Europe the opportunity to interact, experiment, and learn from one another through performance and composition.
Between 2005 and 2008, five editions of I'mPULSE were organised -- in the Philippines, Ireland, China, Sweden, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia -- bringing together a variety of artists including traditional singers, DJs, electronic musicians, percussionists, and composers.
Our Goals
- Create a process-oriented platform for young musicians from Asia and Europe.
- Engage musicians and encourage interactions through innovative music concepts.
- Analyse creative processes in music.
- Experiment with fusing traditional and contemporary approaches in an Asia-Europe setting.
