Asia Europe Economic Forum (AEEF)

This year’s 16th Asia Europe Economic Forum (AEEF16) will take place on 28-29 November 2019 in Berlin, Germany.

With growing recognition and consolidation of the linkage between the European and Asian economies, consortium partners from Asia and Europe agreed in 2006 to establish the Asia Europe Economic Forum (AEEF). The Forum is ought to serve as a high level platform, giving Asian and European policy and economic experts an occasion for in-depth research-based exchanges on global issues of mutual interest. Since 2007, the Forum has organized meetings in Asia and Europe alternately to cover a wide range of issues on the global economy and economic cooperation between Asia and Europe. The conferences feature specialised research papers and the outcomes are channelled to policy makers in both regions.

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) joined the consortium in 2013. ASEF works together with the consortium of top think tanks in both Asia and Europe to organise the AEEF event and has since supported a number of conferences, including:
