Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships between Asia and Europe

Overview

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is partnering with Arts Network Asia (ANA) in cooperation with Trans Europe Halle (TEH) to continue the Asia-Europe Cultural Partnership Initiative (AECPI) for 2011, which is titled Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships between Asia and Europe. Through this initiative, ASEF and ANA will support creative projects by Asian and European cultural organisations which focus on incorporating an artistic event for a wider audience from the two regions.

The AECPI programme was launched in 2009 to support capacity-building and enable collaborations between individuals and organisations from Asia and Europe working in the fields of film, new media and performing arts. Thereby, ASEF aims to foster sustainable partnerships which bring about more opportunities for networking, understanding and cooperation between the two regions.
