Database on Education Exchange Programmes (DEEP)

The Database on Education Exchange Programmes (DEEP) is a comprehensive online portal which seeks to promote better awareness of study opportunities among students; and encourage mobility within the academic community in the ASEM countries. Officially launched on 13 April 2007 in Singapore in celebration of ASEF’s 10th anniversary, DEEP was made possible through the support of the Government of Japan.

To date, DEEP enables its users to:

• search for scholarships and exchange programmes in 7,000 universities in ASEM countries;
• access information on official agencies assisting foreign students;
• obtain data on Asian and European education systems, entry requirements and credit recognition procedures; and
• exchange and share study experiences in Asia and Europe.

The data on DEEP was provided by the International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA).
