In 2012, the Asia-Europe Foundation commemorates 15 years of building bridges between Asia and Europe by bringing people together. On this occasion, a number of special projects and events will be organised throughout the year.

Shared heritage through the lens of the youth

Participants of the 17th ASEF University produced a photo exhibition entitled “Shared Heritage: As We See It”, featuring photographs and videos which best represent what cultural heritage means to them. It is envisaged to travel to several ASEM countries ...

Apps and unleashing creativity in the classroom

Over 100 secondary and high school educators and students across Asia and Europe came together in Dundalk, Ireland for the 10th Asia-Europe Classroom Network (AEC-NET) Conference from 7-11 November 2011.

Public Health in the spotlight

21 young volunteers from 14 ASEM countries participated at the 10th Asia-Europe Young Volunteers Exchange programme: Health on Stage. They worked closely with the local communities in South India to promote public health dialogue through forum theatre.

The Asia-Europe Meeting

The Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) brings together representatives of 46 Countries from Asia and Europe, the ASEAN Secretariat and the European Commission. ASEM addresses political, economic and cultural issues. ASEF aims to engage society in similar discussions, building bridges between the ASEM governments and the community.
